The Peoria Jazz AllStars is an auditioned all-city "big band" comprised of dedicated students from the three public high schools:  Manual, Peoria High and Richwoods.  This prestigious group was founded by and under the direction of Mary Jo Papich from 1993-2001, Bernie Potter from 2001-2004 and Julie Traenkenschuh from 2004-2010.  The group is currently directed by Andy Tinsman and performs throughout the year at concerts, jazz festivals and civic events including the Alzheimer's Walk, Fine Arts Fair and Celebrating Seniors.

Past performances include:  ‘96 North Sea and Montreux Jazz Festivals in Europe, ‘98 at the National Association of School Boards Convention in New Orleans, on the Big Red Boat in the Bahamas in ‘99, at the Montreux and Umbria Jazz Festivals in ‘00, Live on Stage in Branson in ‘01, Disney's Magic Music Days in ’03, at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio in ‘06, at Sea World and the Arneson Theater at La Villita in San Antonio, Texas in ’07 and at the IBM Atrium and on the Flight Deck of the USS Intrepid in New York City in ‘09.

They are also one of 40 of America's most talented high school big bands selected by the International Association of Jazz Educators from 20,000 bands.  They are dedicated to preserving and performing America's music – JAZZ!  The Peoria Jazz AllStars are always looking for ways to become more involved in the Peoria-area Community.  For more information on how to book the band or to make a donation please call Andy Tinsman at 672-6600 or e-mail andy.tinsman@psd150.org.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society (CIJS) House Band will play during the first set, under the leadership of Larry Harms. The CIJS House Band features outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They will entertain you with a mixture of jazz styles. This talented group is the heart of our monthly jazz program for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. They will present a variety of live jazz offerings. Please come out and support them.

Children 14 years and under are free with an adult
