Wave is a diverse quartet that will present a mixture of traditional jazz, smooth jazz, and some R&B that is sure to please the Jazz Society crowd. Wave features Paul Weddle on tenor sax, alto sax and soprano sax. Daniel Leahy on piano, Cortez Banks on drums, and Mike Nellas on bass, round out this very musical and dynamic group. They play music that people know and they play music for people to enjoy. These are familiar names to those who have listened to good music in the Central Illinois area.
The Central Illinois Jazz Society (CIJS) House Band will play during the first set, under the leadership of Larry Harms. The CIJS House Band features outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They will entertain you with a mixture of jazz styles. This talented group is the heart of our monthly jazz program for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. We are grateful to them for their variety of live jazz offerings. Please come out and support them.
